About the Role
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join Patreon's Developer Productivity team. This role focuses on improving the developer experience by working on initiatives that make all engineers at Patreon more productive, including ownership of continuous integration, continuous deployment, and developer environments.
Key Responsibilities
- →Work on developer environment and tools, including Docker and testing infrastructure
- →Integrate AI agents, MCPs, and skills
- →Operate continuous integration pipelines at scale using CircleCI
- →Implement Kubernetes + Argo CD / Argo Rollouts for continuous deployments
- →Build and operate developer-facing services for testing and deployment
- →Implement automated test selection
- →Implement GitHub automation
Requirements
- ✓Experience as a Software Engineer passionate about making other engineers more productive
- ✓Deeply empathetic individual who can understand and address developer pain points
- ✓Data-driven approach to decision making using metrics
- ✓Proficiency with Python
- ✓Comfortable with Linux system operations and command line tooling
- ✓Experience with CircleCI or similar continuous integration systems
- ✓Experience with containerized environments
- ✓Strong oral and written communication skills
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent working experience
