About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join Smoove, a leading provider of tech in the property sector. As a technical specialist, you will drive complex software solutions while mentoring team members and contributing to architectural decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and implement complex software solutions with focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability
- →Participate in architectural decisions and take end-to-end ownership of features
- →Ensure optimal system performance through load testing, caching strategies, and security best practices
- →Implement comprehensive testing strategies including unit, integration, and performance testing
- →Provide technical guidance and career development support to junior team members
- →Collaborate effectively with product, QA, UX, and other engineering teams
- →Actively participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
Requirements
- ✓Advanced proficiency in C# and .NET for backend specialists, or full-stack capabilities including modern frontend frameworks
- ✓Strong understanding of microservices architecture, API design, and distributed systems
- ✓Comprehensive experience with testing frameworks, test automation, performance testing, and system optimisation
- ✓Hands-on experience with Azure, understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, and infrastructure as code
- ✓Experience with SQL Server databases, data modelling, performance optimisation, and security best practices
- ✓Ability to analyse complex technical problems and design elegant solutions
- ✓Strong technical communication skills for diverse audiences and proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
