In this role, you will have full oversight of the MC2 OPEX and headcount forecasting & planning process at Pinterest, as well as the remit to manage and optimize the full book of MC2 investments. This is a critical FP&A role that sits at the center of how Pinterest executes its marketing strategy and allocates capital to drive growth efficiently.
You will work closely with multiple teams across Pinterest (MC2 leadership, Marketing S&O, Marketing Finance, and Corporate FP&A) as well as key executives to help drive clarity in our marketing performance and manage our investments to ensure we are delivering on key strategic & financial objectives. This role reports into the Sr. Manager, Sales & Marketing Finance within the CFO org.
What you’ll do:
• Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of our core MC2 OPEX & Headcount forecasting and consolidation workstreams (monthly, quarterly, annual, and long‑range).
• Partner with MC2 and Marketing S&O leaders to optimize the allocation of resources across marketing channels, programs, and initiatives, balancing growth and ROI.
• Own the delivery of all monthly / quarterly financial reporting and insights for MC2 to Pinterest executives (e.g., CMO, CFO org leaders, and their direct reports), including performance drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Create dashboards and reporting tools to scale monitoring of key performance indicators and marketing investment returns, leveraging AI and planning tools where appropriate.
• Build and maintain robust financial models to support top‑line growth and margin expansion initiatives across MC2, including scenario analyses and investment cases.
• Drive process improvements and standardization across MC2 Finance, championing CFO org values and AI‑forward workflows to raise the bar on accuracy, speed, and partnership.
What we’re looking for:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Accounting or Finance, and 3–5+ years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, Strategic Finance or related fields, ideally with exposure to Marketing or other go‑to‑market functions.
• Exceptional spreadsheet skills (Excel and Google Sheets) with experience creating financial dashboards, models, and scenario analyses.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (Google Slides), with the ability to clearly articulate insights and recommendations to executive stakeholders.
• Demonstrated business partnering experience working directly with marketing, sales, or other business teams to drive the business forward and support key decisions.
• Comfort working in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment, with strong ownership over deliverables and attention to detail.
• Experience with planning/ERP tools (e.g., IBM Planning Analytics, Pigment, Workday Adaptive, or similar) and/or willingness to quickly ramp on new tools and systems.
• Demonstrated alignment with CFO org values: acting with integrity in your analyses, caring with candor in your communication, driving alignment across stakeholders, and continuously raising the bar for yourself and the team.
• Curious, AI‑forward mindset, using AI to accelerate analysis and reporting while maintaining accountability for the quality and integrity of your work.
