ABOUT PIVOTAL HEALTH
Pivotal Health is the leading technology platform that helps healthcare providers get paid fairly in an increasingly complex reimbursement landscape.
Today, many providers face persistent underpayment from health insurance companies, despite delivering high-quality care. While processes like IDR (Independent Dispute Resolution) were designed to promote fairness, theyβre often administrative-heavy, time-consuming, and difficult to navigate without the right tools.
Pivotal Health combines software, data, and service into a seamlessly integrated, AI-driven platform that simplifies these complex reimbursement workflows. We help providers efficiently dispute underpaid claims, reduce administrative burden, and recover the reimbursement theyβre entitled to; without adding more work to already stretched teams.
Our full-service IDR solution is just the starting point. Weβre building solutions that enable providers to operate with clarity, control, and confidence across the reimbursement journey.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Weβre hiring an FP&A Manager to help build and scale how Pivotal understands, plans, and operates the business.
This role sits at the center of finance, operations, and strategy, combining traditional FP&A ownership with exposure to executive decision-making and long-term planning. Youβll own core forecasting processes, partner closely with cross-functional leaders, and help translate financial and operational data into clear, actionable insight.
This is not a pure reporting role. You will actively shape how the business runs; developing models, refining planning processes, and influencing decisions that impact growth, efficiency, and capital allocation.
If youβre excited by high ownership, ambiguous environments, and the opportunity to augment and professionalize a finance function during a key growth phase, this role is for you.
WHAT YOUβLL DO
- Own forecasting and planning across the business: Build and evolve forecasting models and planning frameworks that improve how we understand performance and make decisions.
- Turn data into narrative and action: Analyze budget vs. actuals, identify whatβs driving performance, and translate findings into clear insights and recommendations for leadership.
- Partner with leaders across the company: Work closely with teams across BizOps, RevOps, People, and R&D to understand key drivers, support planning, and bring financial visibility into day-to-day decisions.
- Drive investor and executive reporting: Prepare and communicate financial insights for leadership and investors, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency in how we tell the story of the business.
- Build the FP&A foundation as we scale: Identify gaps in current processes and help implement structured, repeatable systems for forecasting, reporting, and planning.
- Help select and implement FP&A tooling: Support the evaluation and rollout of an FP&A tool, to modernize our planning processes and establish a 'single source of truth' for real-time reporting and analysis.
- Operate in the details while thinking strategically: Get into the weeds to understand the numbers, while also stepping back to connect them to broader business trends and decisions.
WHO YOU ARE
- 3-5+ years of experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, or similar roles
- Strong financial modeling and forecasting experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience working in a high-growth or VC-backed environment
- Comfortable working with imperfect or incomplete data
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate data into insights

- High ownership mindset with the ability to operate independently
EXTRA CREDIT EXPERIENCE
- Experience implementing or working within an FP&A tool (e.g., Datarails, Pigment, Adaptive, Anaplan, etc.)
- Experience in a startup or scaling environment
- Familiarity with leveraging AI tools to improve workflows and efficiency
