About the Role

We are looking for a Back Office Operations Manager to join Point72’s Back Office Operations Team. This role involves leading a newly established reconciliations and operational control function, ensuring accurate recording of all bookings and trade-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

→Serve as the founding hire and leader of a newly established reconciliations and operational control function
→Design and implement a scalable operating model to support a global, fast-paced investment organization
→Own and oversee daily reconciliations, supervise issue investigation and resolution
→Establish performance management frameworks, including KPIs and quality metrics
→Partner with Technology to define requirements, design, test, and deploy system enhancements
→Work closely with prime brokers, custodians, and other third parties to resolve breaks
→Act as a senior escalation point for complex breaks
→Identify and deliver automation and straight-through-processing initiatives
→Build strong partnerships across various departments to enhance operational outcomes
→Embed a strong control mindset, ensuring processes meet regulatory and internal risk management standards

Requirements

✓Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Mathematics, or a related field
✓15+ years of Operations experience within a hedge fund, asset manager, bank, or fund administrator
✓Strong product knowledge across equities, futures, equity swaps, FX, derivatives, and fixed income instruments
✓Proven experience building, scaling, and managing teams
✓Advanced technical aptitude, with the ability to partner effectively with Technology
✓Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
✓Strong time management and prioritization skills
✓Highly detail-oriented, proactive, and self-directed
✓Hands-on leader capable of operating at different organizational levels
✓Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
✓Advanced proficiency in Excel and the MS Office Suite
✓Commitment to the highest ethical standards
