About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join Precision AQ in building a centralized Data Hub to consolidate fragmented data infrastructure and enable AI-ready analytics across our life sciences portfolio. This foundational role focuses on developing Bronze and Silver data layers and the pipelines that transform raw healthcare data into reliable assets.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build and maintain Bronze/Silver layer pipelines for core data sources
- →Lead end-to-end data ingestion, transformation, and enrichment processes
- →Develop automated ingestion pipelines using Snowpipe, Matillion, or custom solutions
- →Implement dbt models following medallion architecture patterns
- →Establish scalable engineering patterns with reusable templates and testing frameworks
- →Ensure data quality and observability through dbt tests and anomaly detection
- →Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field
- ✓5+ years of professional data engineering experience with 3+ years in cloud environments
- ✓2+ years hands-on experience with Snowflake, including performance tuning and Snowpipe
- ✓2+ years working with dbt in production environments
- ✓Demonstrated experience with healthcare data, including ICD-10, NPI, and NDC codes
- ✓Production experience with orchestration tools like Airflow or Dagster
- ✓Strong SQL skills for complex query performance and debugging
- ✓Python proficiency for data processing and automation
