About the Role
We are looking for a Data Product Manager to join our team at Prima, a leading online motor insurance provider. This role focuses on defining the future of how data is collected and exposed in the Portals Area, which spans across self-service (app and web) and modern VoiceAI solutions used by millions of customers in 3 countries.
Key Responsibilities
- →Define the Area Data Strategy: Lead the Data Product vision and roadmap for the Area (including our App, Reserved Area, Voice AI, and Customer Support).
- →Bridge Stakeholders & Tech: Act as the primary interface between Data Consumers (Data Scientists, Business Analysts, …), and Engineering to ensure data products are scalable, reliable, and aligned with company goals.
- →Own the Data Lifecycle: Oversee the end-to-end process of Data Product development, from initial discovery and modelling to monitoring performance and impact.
- →Drive Data Product discoverability and self-serving: support self-serving of Data Products, by continuously improving the tools (e.g., data catalog, data dictionary), and the Data Product consumer orientation.
- →Manage data quality + change: define quality checks, monitoring, and alerting, communicate breaking changes proactively.
- →Foster a Data Culture: Translate complex technical concepts into actionable business insights, ensuring that every product decision is backed by solid data evidence.
Requirements
- ✓Proven Experience (3-5+ years): You have a strong background in Product/Data Management, specifically within data-intensive environments or technical product domains.
- ✓Analytical Mindset: You are "data-native." You think in terms of metrics, data quality, and model performance, and you know how to measure the success of a data product.
- ✓Strategic Coordination: You excel at managing complex dependencies and demanding Product Stakeholders. You can align with an Infrastructure peer on technical constraints while keeping business stakeholders focused on the value proposition.
- ✓Technical Fluency: Previous experience in a technical hands-on role such as Data Analysis, Data Scientist, Data Engineer, or Software Developer. You are comfortable discussing APIs, data pipelines, and machine learning workflows with engineers and data scientists without getting lost in translation.
- ✓Communication & Leadership: You can tell a story with data, persuading others and driving consensus across different departments and seniority levels.
