About the Role
We are seeking a people-first Engineering Manager to lead our high-performing Data Engineering team at Property Finder, a leading property portal in the MENA region. This role focuses on leveraging data to power enterprise offerings and transform the real estate industry.
Key Responsibilities
- →Drive business OKRs and partner with Product Managers to translate business requirements into technical roadmaps
- →Own the agile delivery process and ensure predictable, high-quality delivery of data initiatives
- →Build resilient systems and enforce coding standards, CI/CD practices, and architectural guidelines
- →Monitor and maintain SLAs, data freshness, pipeline reliability, and incident response processes
- →Manage, mentor, and coach a team of 6-8 Data Engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence
- →Automate core workflows and build natural-language interfaces for enterprise-wide data access
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of hands-on experience leading Data Engineering teams
- ✓8+ years total experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering
- ✓Deep understanding of the modern data stack: Python, SQL, Cloud Data Warehouses, and Orchestration tools
- ✓Strong experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools
- ✓Experience managing SLAs and production incidents in high-stakes environments
