About the Role
Platinum Technologies is seeking a Data Engineer to join their team in Tampa, Florida. This role involves driving data discovery and classification efforts, focusing on finding and understanding data before it can be protected. The Data Engineer will be responsible for illuminating 'dark data' across complex information environments.
Key Responsibilities
- →Deploy and manage BigID and NetApp BlueXP scanners across hybrid environments
- →Connect discovery tools to enterprise databases to scan for sensitive indicators
- →Configure scans for massive file repositories, optimizing scan windows
- →Utilize Microsoft Purview Data Map and custom connectors to inventory data
- →Collaborate with mission owners to train Machine Learning classifiers
Requirements
- ✓Active Top-Secret/SCI clearance
- ✓CompTIA Security+ CE (or higher) to meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements
- ✓Proven experience with enterprise data discovery and governance platforms
- ✓Strong understanding of storage protocols and database structures
- ✓Proficiency with Kubernetes and Docker
- ✓Experience with large-scale data inventories (Petabyte scale)
- ✓Journeyman or Senior experience level (3-10 years or over 10 years respectively)
