About the Role
The Elevator Modernization Project Manager leads and coordinates multiple elevator modernization projects nationally, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and compliance with safety and quality standards. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, liaising with clients and vendors, and overseeing all phases of modernization from scope definition to final inspection.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for elevator modernization projects
- →Coordinate with engineering, field technicians, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution
- →Monitor progress and adjust schedules or resources as needed to meet deadlines
- →Coordinate all contract activities from RFP through project completion ensuring contract documents are consistent with required scope of project
- →Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building owners, and internal stakeholders
- →Ensure all modernization work complies with local, state, and federal codes (e.g., ASME A17.1)
- →Conduct site visits and inspections to verify quality and safety standards are met
- →Manage procurement of modernization components (controllers, door equipment, hoist machines, etc.)
- →Track expenses and ensure projects stay within budget
- →Maintain accurate records of project milestones, inspections, and change orders
- →Prepare post-project evaluations and lessons learned reports
