About the Role
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team at Pure, where you will be responsible for transforming how we ship code to our Salesforce ecosystem. Based in our Bangalore center of excellence, you will bridge the gap between development and operations, ensuring our systems are resilient and highly automated.
Key Responsibilities
- →Engineer High-Performance Pipelines: Design and scale CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions and Docker to ensure rapid, repeatable, and error-free code deployments across all Salesforce environments.
- →Architect Salesforce Release Integrity: Lead the end-to-end release management process, utilizing the Metadata API to manage complex deployments and resolve merge conflicts with precision while maintaining strict audit controls.
- →Drive Operational Automation: Develop advanced Python and Shell scripts to automate system operations and deployment packages, reducing manual intervention and increasing the reliability of our internal tooling.
- →Optimize Developer Experience: Partner with engineering and QA teams to refine branching strategies and repository management, providing expert troubleshooting support to maintain a frictionless delivery lifecycle.
- →Govern Documentation & Standards: Maintain comprehensive documentation of our CI/CD architecture and automation protocols to ensure transparency and consistency across the global engineering organization.
Requirements
- ✓CI/CD Expertise: Proven experience building and maintaining robust automation pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI, typically supported by a minimum of 4 years of related DevOps experience.
- ✓Automation Mastery: High proficiency in Python and Shell scripting (Bash/Zsh) for creating custom automation tools, alongside hands-on experience with Docker and container-based workflows.
- ✓Salesforce Technical Depth: A deep understanding of Salesforce Metadata API and REST/SOAP APIs, including the ability to resolve complex merge conflicts and fix deployment errors within a Salesforce environment.
- ✓Collaborative Problem Solving: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of partnering across developers and platform teams to resolve time-sensitive technical issues.
- ✓Systemic Thinking: A solid grasp of DevOps principles and best practices, focusing on creating scalable, secure, and compliant deployment strategies.
