About the Role
We are looking for a Scientific Software Engineer to join our Quantum Processor Team at QuantWare, the world's leading manufacturer of superconducting quantum hardware. This role involves taking ownership of the software infrastructure that powers our Quantum Processing Unit (QPU) design, simplifying our codebase, and implementing robust testing pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead software development projects, architecting and developing tools and libraries for quantum device design
- →Refactor and simplify the existing codebase to speed up processor design flow
- →Design and implement automated software tests and Design Rule Checks (DRC)
- →Manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth, scalable software integration
- →Collaborate closely with physics and engineering teams to ensure seamless software interfaces
Requirements
- ✓4+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on scientific computing
- ✓Expert-level proficiency in Python and the scientific stack (SciPy, NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib)
- ✓Proven hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems
- ✓Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or related STEM field
- ✓Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects with practical impact
