About the Role
We are looking for a Solutions Architect to join our EMEA Solutions team at Rackspace Technology. This role involves providing specialist pre-sales and consulting services to support complex business needs, focusing on outcome-oriented services and solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- →Gather business and technical requirements to design solutions that address customer objectives
- →Lead the service and solution ownership of designs, including tactical solutions, complex projects, cross-discipline opportunities, and time-sensitive POCs or POVs
- →Provide commercial, technical, service, and solution leadership
- →Partner with internal teams and external partners to deliver solutions on time, within specification, and budget
- →Provide resource and capability for the creation of solutions throughout the sales lifecycle
- →Work as part of a larger solutions/pursuit team with Solution Leads, Solutions Directors, and Bid Management team for larger or more complex opportunities
- →Deliver technical and architecture components of the overall solution response
- →Inspire, encourage, and develop the next generation of Solutions Architects
Requirements
- ✓Experience leading client-facing teams across international geographies
- ✓Ability to interact at multiple levels of seniority
- ✓Excellent communication and presentation skills
- ✓Ability to author high-quality accurate design documents
- ✓Current certified technology expertise in infrastructure, applications, and multiple cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware)
- ✓Experience with ModernOps, DevOps CI/CD pipelines, and CMPs in a Private Cloud context
- ✓Experience working with Private Cloud platforms based on VMware, Microsoft, or OpenStack technology
- ✓Leadership and problem-solving skills
- ✓Collaborative team player
- ✓Awareness of sales methodologies and proposal management
- ✓Experience in Managed or Professional Services engagements
- ✓Ability to lead customer workshops for requirements gathering, solution mapping, or proposal playback
- ✓Owning a specific technology area and becoming the Subject Matter Expert (SME)
- ✓Experience attending Trade Shows, User Group Meetings, or Conferences
