About the Role
We are looking for a 2nd Line Technical Support Analyst to join our thriving vehicle telematics business. This role will be an important part of our software development function, supporting our telematics maintenance application.
Key Responsibilities
- →Manage and prioritize tickets on our Jira Service Desk, addressing issues based on business impact
- →Communicate clearly with stakeholders, providing updates, realistic timescales, and effective escalation paths
- →Investigate code repositories to pinpoint problem areas and assist Third Line teams with bug diagnostics
- →Identify patterns, trends, and recurring issues to help the business stay proactive
- →Query and update production databases to resolve data-related issues while maintaining integrity and security
- →Conduct root cause analysis and maintain documentation in our internal knowledge base
- →Provide practical troubleshooting guidance to end-users
- →Collaborate with developers to understand new features and system changes
Requirements
- ✓At least 2 years’ experience in IT support, service desk, or field engineering roles
- ✓A relevant qualification such as a BSc in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- ✓SQL skills and confidence working with production data
- ✓Ability to communicate effectively between technical and non-technical people
- ✓Ability to prioritize and switch between tasks effectively
- ✓Appreciation of Java, React, or Spring Framework would be a bonus
