About the Role
We are looking for a Lead Security Engineer to join RemoFirst as our first dedicated security hire. You will be responsible for architecting our trust layer and ensuring the security of our sensitive data. This role requires a blend of technical implementation and strategic compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- →Own the architecture and security of our Auth0 implementation for client-facing applications
- →Manage and automate our Okta environment, ensuring seamless SSO and lifecycle management
- →Enforce "Least Privilege" across our AWS ecosystem, managing complex AWS IAM policies
- →Conduct regular internal pentests and vulnerability scans against our services
- →Work alongside developers to review code and secure our databases
- →Define the guardrails for our AI initiatives, ensuring data privacy in LLM prompts
- →Take the lead for our SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications
- →Utilize compliance automation tools to ensure we stay "audit-ready"
- →Help draft and implement pragmatic security policies
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of experience in security engineering
- ✓Familiarity with Python/Java with Django, FastAPI & SpringBoot
- ✓Strong knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure, specifically AWS with EKS, RDS
- ✓Experience with IAM, including Okta and Auth0
- ✓Familiarity with the SOC2 and ISO27001 audit cycle
