Who We Need We're looking for a Staff Software Engineer who combines deep technical expertise with a builder's mindset, someone who can architect resilient, scalable systems while staying grounded in what actually moves the business forward. What You'll Do - Lead technical decisions across Rillet's infrastructure and platform stack, driving architectural discussions and setting engineering standards - Shape the platform roadmap for years to come, identifying opportunities to improve reliability, scalability, and developer productivity - Partner with product and engineering teams to advocate for sound infrastructure investments and balance business velocity with operational excellence - Establish and champion CI/CD practices, mentoring engineers on deployment strategies and ensuring reliable, frequent releases - Lead by example in test-driven development and automation, building robust testing frameworks and fostering a quality-first culture - Own production reliability end-to-end: design monitoring solutions, lead incident response, and implement proactive measures to ensure system stability - Mentor engineers on the team, conducting code reviews, and raising the technical bar across the organization Who We're Looking For - 8+ years of software engineering experience (CS degree or related field) with a proven track record architecting scalable, resilient systems across infrastructure, developer experience, and integrations - Deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and operational tooling, and a strong instinct for building platforms that improve developer velocity and reduce toil - Comfortable context-switching across infra, DevEx, and integrations without losing depth, equally at home optimizing a CI/CD pipeline or designing an integration architecture - Thrives both independently and collaboratively, with a passion for continuous learning and knowledge sharing - Open to using AI to amplify their work,bringing curiosity, sound judgment, and a willingness to learn LIFE AT RILLET: - Competitive Pay & Benefits: Backed by world-class investors, we offer strong salaries plus equity so you share in our success.
