About the Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team at Riot Games in Sydney. You will contribute to the development of metagame systems and features for an exciting unpublished R&D title, working alongside producers, designers, and other engineers to create scalable solutions that enhance player experiences.

Key Responsibilities

→Uphold a high standard of engineering excellence
→Design, build, and maintain software systems with a focus on quality, reliability, and maintainability
→Collaborate with designers, producers, and other engineers to scope, implement, and test features
→Participate in code reviews, write unit/integration tests, and contribute to continuous improvement of team practices
→Debug and resolve issues in live environments and development pipelines
→Write clear documentation and communicate technical details across disciplines
→Learn and contribute to shared libraries, tools, and platforms used across the project

Requirements

✓3+ years experience in professional software development
✓Professional experience and proficiency with C++
✓Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, concurrency, etc.)
✓Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating across disciplines
✓Experience building games and/or working in game engines
