About the Role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join Robinhood's Financial Crimes Engineering team. This role involves leading a team of engineers responsible for building next-generation detection systems and internal tools that support investigation experiences. The position combines technical leadership with people management, offering the opportunity to shape how AI and large language models are applied to improve workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers, setting clear goals and supporting career development
- →Build top-tier tooling experience using AI to streamline workflows and improve analyst efficiency
- →Guide onboarding of new financial crimes use cases into case management systems
- →Contribute to architectural decisions involving Golang, Python, AWS, Kubernetes, and SQL
- →Partner with Financial Crimes Operations and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
- →Establish strong engineering processes for on-call, deployment, and code review
Requirements
- ✓Experience leading engineers in a high-growth tech environment with a track record of delivering technical initiatives
- ✓Strong technical background in backend systems with hands-on experience in Golang, Python, AWS, Kubernetes, and SQL
- ✓Experience with financial crimes, fraud, compliance, or fintech systems
- ✓Familiarity with AML or sanctions screening workflows
- ✓Knowledge of machine learning or generative AI concepts
- ✓Ability to collaborate effectively with operations, product, and engineering partners
