As an Associate Art Director (AAD), you will participate in a rotational program designed to provide hands-on experience and direct mentorship from some of the industry’s leading creatives. Throughout the program, you will build a versatile portfolio while working on high-impact marketing campaigns that shape the visual direction of our platform, our community, and our creators—impacting a global audience of over 111 million daily users. You Will: • Learn to apply and push the boundaries of the Roblox visual identity through concept-driven, high-craft art direction. • Concept, craft, and execute creative ideas across multiple mediums, including mobile, social, film, interactive content, brand activations, OOH, and experiential events. • Rotate and collaborate as you work across different pods within the Brand Creative and Design teams, learning from art directors, copywriters, and brand designers to bring ideas to life. • Learn the full creative lifecycle from initial brainstorming and mood-boarding to final production and implementation, and come to understand the craft required to meet our rigorous standards for quality. • Present and advocate for ideas that solve real audience problems. You will share and present your creative concepts to internal teams, building alignment and learning how to thoughtfully incorporate feedback into your process. • Receive ongoing mentorship, feedback, and professional development opportunities to grow as an art director. You Are: • In possession of or will possess an undergraduate/graduate degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Advertising, or a related field. • Visually driven with a portfolio that demonstrates a strong grasp of composition, typography, color theory, and visual storytelling. • Technically proficient in industry-standard tools, specifically Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) and Figma. Knowledge of 3D tools or motion design is a major plus. • A storyteller who doesn't just make things look great, but also understands how to use visuals to communicate an idea, narrative, or solve a brand challenge. • Curious about how people use technology, and why they use it. • Resilient and embrace iteration and feedback as essential steps in the creative process. • Passionate about Roblox with a deep interest in the Roblox community, the creator economy, and the future of immersive play. Location: San Mateo, CA For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.
