About the Role
We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the team that owns the backend, relevance, and client systems that power Notifications across the Roblox ecosystem. These systems are responsible for the delivery of hundreds of millions of notifications triggered by users, developers, and the platform.
Key Responsibilities
- →Shape and grow a high-performing engineering team, supporting engineers from junior to principal levels.
- →Foster a team culture of collaboration, innovation, and engineering excellence.
- →Take responsibility for high-scale systems to deliver Notifications to users on Roblox.
- →Own the team’s mission and outcomes, working with stakeholders to define the team’s roadmap and ensure execution.
- →Partner with Product Management, Design, Data, and stakeholders across Roblox to develop innovative solutions.
Requirements
- ✓2+ years of experience as an engineering manager or tech lead manager.
- ✓Excellence in collaborating with others and developing software engineers.
- ✓A proven track record of technical delivery in high-scale environments with complex constraints.
- ✓Ability to contribute to architecture and implementation discussions around high-scale ML systems.
- ✓Experience solving difficult problems involving both engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
