About the Role
We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join the Co-Experience team at Roblox. You will work on high-visibility initiatives that define the future of age-appropriate communication, building and maintaining a social ecosystem that ensures safe, civil, and meaningful interactions across diverse age groups.
Key Responsibilities
- →Maintain, improve and scale the Roblox party system to support millions of concurrent users
- →Participate in design and develop service infrastructure empowering Roblox creators
- →Partner with other engineering teams to integrate multiple systems in a reusable, performant and safe manner
- →Self-organize and take ownership of projects throughout their full lifecycle
- →Mentor interns
Requirements
- ✓Undergraduate/graduate degree in computer science, engineering or a related field
- ✓2+ years of experience in working on microservice architectures
- ✓1+ years of experience building systems behind consumer-facing APIs
- ✓Strong understanding of server-side development and design principles
- ✓Proficiency in at least one compiled language such as C#, C++, Java, Golang
- ✓Strong product intuition and track record of leveraging AI-assisted development tools
