About the Role
We are looking for a Deputy Head of Engineering who will act as a technical guardian and a right hand to the Head of Engineering. This role focuses on ensuring architectural integrity, security, and technical excellence across projects, bridging the gap between high-level engineering strategy and day-to-day execution.
Key Responsibilities
- →Ensure all projects follow established company architecture and approve architectural changes
- →Maintain high code quality standards through rigorous code reviews
- →Hands-on involvement in deployment and configuration of new projects
- →Implement and oversee security measures at code and hosting levels
- →Lead implementation of new technologies, focusing on AI-driven workflows
- →Manage technical aspects of A/B testing and ensure accurate data tracking
- →Conduct technical interviews and mentor developers
- →Identify outdated practices and implement modern workflows
Requirements
- ✓3+ years of intensive experience with Node.js and Next.js
- ✓3+ years of experience managing engineering teams
- ✓Solid experience with AWS and Cloudflare
- ✓Deep understanding of Postgres and experience with modern ORMs
- ✓Proficiency in setting up and interpreting data from analytics tools
- ✓Strong knowledge of web security principles
- ✓Ability to communicate clearly with technical teams and stakeholders
