About the Role
Ruby Labs seeks a Frontend Designer who has transitioned from a design background into frontend development. This role requires exceptional design taste, advanced Figma skills, and the ability to work autonomously from high-level references to create outstanding user interfaces.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and implement exceptional interfaces using Figma and AI design tools based on high-level references, working autonomously from minimal guidance.
- →Develop production-ready code using Next.js 14.0+, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS with meticulous attention to detail and without QA oversight.
- →Create scalable component-based UI using structured design systems (NextUI, HeroUI) while maintaining consistency, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
- →Translate strategic requirements into intuitive interfaces and collaborate efficiently with product teams while maintaining design autonomy.
Requirements
- ✓Designer-to-developer background with advanced Figma expertise. Must have started as a UI/UX designer before transitioning into frontend development.
- ✓Autonomous design excellence ability to create complete interfaces from high-level references with exceptional attention to detail as a baseline expectation.
- ✓Frontend and AI tool proficiency with 2+ years of experience with Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, plus modern AI design tools for rapid interface creation.
- ✓Independent problem-solving experience building and maintaining scalable component architectures while resolving design and technical challenges autonomously.
