About the Role:
We are launching a new vertical and looking for a Business Development (BDR) Manager to build and lead our Manufactured Housing BDR team from the ground up. This is a true zero-to-one opportunity β you will own the playbook, define the outbound motion, and help establish SafeLease as the go-to insurance provider across a market of over 40,000 manufactured housing communities nationwide. You will be responsible for hiring, onboarding, developing, and managing a team of BDRs who prospect into community operators, owners, and management companies. For the right person, this is a rare chance to scale and optimize an untapped vertical with the full support of a high-growth, profitable company behind you.
What you will do:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of BDRs focused exclusively on the manufactured housing vertical.
- Own team performance against weekly and monthly targets for meetings booked and pipeline created.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, call reviews, and role-play sessions to improve prospecting and discovery skills.
- Oversee and continuously refine the team's outbound strategy across cold calling and email
- Hire and onboard new BDR team members and ramp them to productivity quickly.
- Partner with Account Executives to ensure smooth handoffs and strong meeting-to-opportunity conversion.
- Partner with marketing to align on ICP targeting, messaging, and campaign strategy for the MH segment.
- Monitor and report on key BDR metrics β dials, connects, meetings booked, pipeline created β and present weekly updates to sales leadership.
- Enforce CRM hygiene standards and consistent data entry practices across the team.
- Contribute to playbook development for the manufactured housing vertical.
About you:
- 1+ years of BDR/SDR experience in B2B SaaS, technology or insurance.
- 2+ years of BDR manager with direct responsibility for managing and developing BDR/SDR performance.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding outbound pipeline targets.
- Strong coaching instincts β you get energy from helping others improve, not just hitting your own number.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, scrappy environment where the process is still being built.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) and sales engagement tools such as Gong, Outreach, Salesloft, or Apollo.
- Experience selling into insurance, real estate, property management, manufactured housing, or adjacent industries is a plus.
