About the Role

Samsara is looking for a Security Operations Engineer to join their team. This role involves collaborating with engineers to identify and mitigate risks, monitor security events, respond to security incidents, and protect corporate infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

→Monitor security events and provide technical analysis on alerts
→Respond to cyber security incidents by executing the incident response strategy
→Protect Samsara infrastructure while partnering across the organization
→Manage post-incident activity such as post mortems and Corrective Action assignments
→Assist with developing and maintaining security policies and procedures
→Deliver security guidance for cloud and enterprise infrastructure initiatives
→Coordinate the building of services and technologies to support security operations
→Champion Samsara’s cultural principles as the company scales globally

Requirements

✓3+ years of relevant experience in security incident response
✓Programming experience in Python
✓Strong reasoning skills and accurate documentation abilities
✓Practical experience in security incident response, including triage
✓Concise verbal and written communication skills
✓Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
✓Understanding of analysis and forensics techniques on macOS, Windows, and Linux
✓Ability to work flexible hours and be on call for potential security incidents
✓Experience utilizing SIEM tools to perform log reviews
