About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the EMBS (Enterprise Management and Business Services) team at Samsara. This role involves building foundational systems that enable customers to model their organization's structure and configuration on the Connected Operations Cloud. You will partner with Product, Design, and other teams to extend organization management frameworks and explore AI-assisted admin and configuration experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex, full-stack initiatives
- →Design and evolve core org management experiences, including UI and backend services
- →Refactor existing code to address performance bottlenecks and improve UX
- →Mentor and guide other engineers through code reviews and technical design feedback
- →Collaborate with Product to define and prioritize work based on customer problems
- →Operate with high autonomy, identifying risks and driving alignment
- →Leverage AI tools to accelerate delivery and improve productivity
- →Champion Samsara’s cultural principles as the team scales globally
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of professional experience building production software systems
- ✓Track record of leading complex technical initiatives from inception to delivery
- ✓Ability to estimate, communicate, and deliver on project milestones
- ✓Experience with both front- and back-end development
- ✓Growth mindset and excitement about learning new domains and tools
- ✓Strong sense of ownership and agency
- ✓Strong written and verbal communication skills
- ✓Comfort using AI tools in development workflow
