About the Role
Samsara is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Telematics team, which builds the platform powering vehicle telematics across millions of connected assets. This role focuses on developing scalable systems that help customers identify driving and environmental risks, providing real-time insights into fleet performance, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead technical discussions to identify gaps in the telematics data platform and influence roadmap
- →Collaborate with engineering teams to make design decisions and ensure a seamless customer experience
- →Ship features that deliver value to customers, refining them based on feedback
- →Deliver full stack features across multiple tiers (front-end, back-end, and mobile)
- →Maintain production systems and provide operational support
- →Champion Samsara’s cultural principles as the team scales globally
Requirements
- ✓8+ years of experience designing and building products in a software engineering team
- ✓Proven experience leading the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of highly scalable, distributed software systems
- ✓Experience building, deploying, and maintaining Machine Learning-powered products
- ✓Experience mentoring engineers and role modeling engineering practices
- ✓End-to-end ownership of product, feature designs, development, and delivery of large-scale projects
