About the Role
We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join Samsara, the pioneer of the Connected Operations™ Cloud. In this newly-created role, you will lead the charge in digitizing foundational industries, architecting and building the intelligence behind the entire energy lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- →Architect and own the technical strategy for Samsara's entire Sustainability product suite
- →Lead the design and implementation of complex, data-intensive systems
- →Raise the technical standard across engineering by mentoring senior engineers
- →Spearhead initiatives leveraging vast datasets to solve ambiguous problems
- →Drive technical decisions and build consensus across multiple teams
Requirements
- ✓Proven impact designing and building distributed, fault-tolerant systems at scale
- ✓Hands-on contribution at a senior level with a focus on implementation
- ✓Intellectual honesty and a bias for action in a large engineering organization
- ✓Experience with large-scale data processing or machine learning pipelines
- ✓A deep sense of ownership to drive cross-functional initiatives to completion
