About the Role
Strategic Data Systems is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer III to support cybersecurity compliance, vulnerability mitigation, and system security engineering at NIWC Pacific. This role provides senior-level expertise in protecting secure network environments and ensuring systems meet DoD cybersecurity standards.
Key Responsibilities
- →Plan, implement, and maintain cybersecurity measures to strengthen network defense and resilience
- →Support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities and cybersecurity compliance requirements
- →Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies
- →Ensure security controls protect digital infrastructure and sensitive information
- →Monitor systems for threats, anomalies, and potential security incidents
- →Support incident response activities and assist with remediation and reporting
- →Provide cybersecurity engineering guidance to system administrators and technical teams
Requirements
- ✓CISSP certification
- ✓Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mathematics with computer science concentration, or related field preferred
- ✓Minimum 10 years of professional cybersecurity engineering experience
- ✓Active Secret Security Clearance
- ✓Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and network defense
