THE ROLE
Weβre looking for a Senior product designer to take Seccl to the next stage of our productβs growth journey. Weβre at an exciting inflection point β as an API-first company built on strong foundations, weβve empowered customers to build solutions on top of our platform. Now, weβre ready to take the next step transforming how we think, design and deliver experiences through adviser and investor-facing UIs and portals.
You will join us as our first Senior product designer, leading the evolution of design best practice and ensuring creative excellence in every aspect of our work. You will work across a variety of teams and product initiatives leading challenging and innovative projects to offer best-in-class digital experiences.
This is a high-impact, high-ownership role, ideal for someone who combines sharp product thinking, strong UX design skills, and a passion for simplifying complexity to help people invest, and invest well.
This is an opportunity to:
- Shape the role of design within our product and engineering-led culture, introducing customer-centred thinking into a space thatβs ready to scale and innovate.
- Act as the trusted adviser to product leadership, shaping scalable, user-first design whilst remaining hands on designing the product and a scalable design system.
- Create the UX strategy and roadmap for a fast-growing fintech that wants to disrupt an outdated industry.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and gather user feedback through various methods to understand customer needs and pain points.
- Lead on the UX for product initiatives - representing the voice of the customer to directly improve the overall customer experience ultimately reducing friction and increasing efficiencies.
- Contribute to multiple high-performing, autonomous squads where your ideas will directly influence our success.
ON A TYPICAL DAY YOU WILL BEβ¦
- Designing and optimising end-to-end customer journeys across mobile and web platforms to address pain points, drive business outcomes and deliver value for our customers.
- Collaborating with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to co-create solutions that are technically feasible and commercially impactful.
- Defining UX approaches and research plans across initiatives and teams.
- Engaging directly with customers to gather requirements, validate solutions, and ensure the product delivers real value.
- Using both quantitative and qualitative data to inform evidence-based decisions.
- Taking an active part in evolving Seccl's design system.
THIS ROLEβS FOR YOU IF...
- You have experience within UX design and cross-platform β youβve designed both web and mobile features in a B2C or D2C environment
- You are comfortable working with data and insights to guide decisions and experienced in customer research methods
- You have a keen eye for detail, strong visual design skills, and the ability to translate complex user journeys into simple, intuitive interfaces.
- You have a clear bias for action and proactivity β you take the initiative to spot opportunities, gather insights, and move things forward, even when the path isnβt fully defined.
- You thrive in ambiguous environments, where priorities can change, but you're able to add clarity β structuring problems and shaping them into actionable work.
- You leverage modern best in class tooling and have experience using AI in your workflows.
- You have empathy for others β through mentorship, sharing knowledge, and modelling high standards.
THIS ROLE ISNβT FOR YOU IF...
- You rely on a lot of top-down direction. Here, youβll have a lot of freedom and ownership of your role, and youβll be expected to shape your own progression
- Youβre not comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Our speed and scalability are what set us apart; you need to be able to act quickly and think on your feet
- You struggle to follow through on ideas. We value people who do what they say they will. If you care about something, you have the freedom here to make it happen
- You donβt like change. Youβll get on great here if you relish the ambiguity of rapid growth and are willing to embrace uncertainty
