About the Role
Serán BioScience is seeking a Director to lead the Drug Product Development team. This role involves developing novel pharmaceutical therapies with a focus on oral delivery formulations, including tablets, capsules, suspensions, and drug product intermediates. The Director will provide technical guidance and ensure scientific excellence in experimental design and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- →Provide strategic vision and oversight for the organization and group
- →Delegate and oversee new projects while contributing to technical strategy
- →Contribute to company strategy, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- →Interface as a technical subject matter expert with clients when appropriate
- →Identify and implement continuous improvements for operational excellence
- →Make recommendations for capital expenditure to Executive Management
- →Work closely with stakeholders to support tech transfer processes
- →Author, review, and approve project proposals and budgets
Requirements
- ✓B.S. with 20+ years, M.S. with 18+ years, or PhD with 15+ years in Science or Engineering
- ✓Demonstrated experience in formulation sciences, analytical sciences, process engineering, or drug product development
- ✓Extensive experience developing solid oral dosage forms for clinical and commercial products
- ✓Extensive tablet development experience with expertise in materials characteristics and unit operations
- ✓Experience with API characterization and technology selection for enabled formulations
- ✓Experience with pre-clinical formulation development
- ✓Scientific curiosity, excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills
- ✓Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management abilities
- ✓Ability to function in high-paced environments and prioritize tasks effectively
- ✓Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
