About the Role
We are seeking an AI Engineer II to join our Applied AI team at Sezzle. This role involves taking end-to-end ownership of complex platforms and systems that power our AI-driven capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead the design, development, and ownership of AI-powered internal platforms and systems
- →Own end-to-end delivery of complex projects from problem discovery to production rollout
- →Design and implement AI-driven features and intelligent automation systems
- →Embed AI capabilities into customer-facing products and internal tools
- →Build full-stack systems spanning backend services, APIs, and frontend interfaces
- →Translate business problems into scalable, AI-enabled technical solutions
- →Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify high-impact opportunities
- →Mentor AI team members through code reviews and design feedback
Requirements
- ✓3–5 years of professional experience in software engineering, AI engineering, or related roles
- ✓Hands-on experience designing and building AI-powered systems
- ✓Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and frontend frameworks like React
- ✓Experience designing and owning production-grade full-stack systems
- ✓Experience with distributed systems and complex data workflows
- ✓Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous problem spaces
