About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and energetic Senior Account Manager to join SGS's Sales & Business Development team. This role is responsible for the sale of environmental analytical services to existing and prospective customers, helping clients minimize their environmental impact while generating revenue for SGS environmental laboratories.
Key Responsibilities
- →Identify business leads with existing and potential customers through continuous interaction across the Environmental community
- →Proactively seek out and initiate contact with prospective customers to assess potential leads
- →Develop a network of industry contacts and continually qualify market conditions
- →Conduct discovery sessions with qualified leads to identify client needs and determine potential opportunities
- →Assess client needs against SGS capabilities and develop value propositions
- →Influence and promote business opportunities through partnering relationships
- →Secure closure on proposals and effectively hand over contracts to the Client Services Team
- →Communicate sales process activities and use CRM with agreed KPIs
- →Provide market intelligence to assist in developing sales materials and forecasts
- →Present and represent SGS at tradeshows and technical seminars
- →Act as the customer's advocate within the SGS organization
- →Continually develop personal selling skills and industry knowledge
Requirements
- ✓Expertise in business development or client service
- ✓Passion for solution-based selling
- ✓Experience in environmental services or analytical services sales
- ✓Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- ✓Ability to manage a portfolio of clients and build long-term relationships
- ✓Knowledge of environmental regulations and industry standards
- ✓Experience with CRM systems and sales processes
- ✓Ability to travel for client meetings and industry events
