About the Role
The Livonia, MI laboratory is seeking a Project Manager to join their Client Services team. This key role serves as a client advocate and laboratory liaison, managing clients working with both the Livonia and Rocklin, CA laboratories.
Key Responsibilities
- →Acts as the main point of contact for a dedicated list of clients with lower complexities and/or annual analytical spend
- →Aids clients with all aspects of project setup, including initial quote, supply order, sample receipt, data reporting, and invoicing
- →Fosters collaborative relationships with clients, laboratory operations, and sales team
- →Serves as the client liaison to the laboratory to ensure all project aspects are carried out in the best interest of both client and laboratory operations
- →Responsible for keeping all accounts project managed and up to date and accurate
- →Monitors project status and provides regular updates through proactive communication
- →Documents and executes client requests including bottle orders, tracking samples, LIMS login, change orders, etc.
- →Reviews project data and invoicing for accuracy and completeness before sending final reports to clients
- →Participates in offsite and/or virtual client meetings as coordinated with the Sales team
- →Promotes a positive working atmosphere and represents SGS in a positive manner
Requirements
- ✓Ability to build strong working relationships with clients and technical staff
- ✓Experience managing projects from initial contact through final deliverables and invoicing
- ✓Knowledge of environmental regulations helpful, including NPDES and SW-846
- ✓Strong communication skills for effective interaction between all laboratory areas and clients
- ✓Ability to train and delegate tasks to Project Manager Assistants
- ✓Understanding of project complexities and ongoing project work within the functional group
- ✓Familiarity with laboratory operations and analytical methods
