About the Role
Sharpsmart is seeking a Billing Analyst to join their Finance team. This hands-on role focuses on ensuring billing accuracy, controlling consumables, and providing operational insights. The position requires a detail-oriented professional who enjoys data analysis and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- →Manage the full SQ billing process to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness
- →Collaborate with Finance, Customer Service, and Operations teams to resolve queries and support month-end processes
- →Liaise with external partners to investigate and resolve billing queries and contractual disputes
- →Analyze consumable usage and profitability to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- →Ensure accurate stock takes, consumables valuation, and stock movement records
- →Investigate variances and strengthen control procedures for consumables and stock
- →Track No Waste collections and ensure proper capture in billing and reporting systems
- →Review transport and vehicle servicing costs to support efficient fleet use
- →Produce reports and analysis to aid operational and financial decision-making
Requirements
- ✓Proven experience in billing, cost control, or financial analysis
- ✓Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets
- ✓Good understanding of stock control, consumable costing, and billing processes
- ✓Proactive, structured, and organized work approach with attention to detail
- ✓Experience with NHS or public sector contracts
- ✓Familiarity with ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Business Central, or tools like Power BI
- ✓Exposure to operational or transport analysis
