About the Role
The Software Integration & Operations (SIO) team at Shield AI builds and sustains release systems for autonomous aircraft software. As a Simulation Application Engineer, you will improve and expand our operator training tool interface and architecture to create a seamless training experience that translates into expert real-world use.
Key Responsibilities
- →Perform full-stack development for our operator training platform from simulation backend to UI frontend
- →Work with training and engineering teams to align on designs that bring about the best user experience
- →Build out containers and integrate with other software applications on Linux and Windows
- →Design and develop automated testing strategies to ensure reliability of the operator training platform
- →Optimize performance and scalability of the simulation application to support complex training scenarios
- →Rapidly prototype and evaluate new technologies to keep the training system at the cutting edge
Requirements
- ✓BS in Computer Science or related engineering field with 3+ years of professional experience
- ✓Strong foundation in Python
- ✓Passion for creating an amazing user experience in a complex system
- ✓2+ years of experience creating operator/pilot training applications
- ✓Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow in a collaborative team environment
