About the Role
We are looking for a Network Engineer to assume hands-on ownership of hardware labs, POS devices, and environmental reliability. This role focuses on managing and maintaining network infrastructure, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- →Manage and maintain network equipment including VeloCloud edges, switches, and access points
- →Resolve escalated issues from Tier-1 support and engage with network support staff
- →Establish performance baselines and thresholds for network components
- →Perform trend analysis and mitigate incidents using monitoring tools
- →Create and maintain technical diagrams of LAN/WAN architecture
- →Support and manage Cisco and Mist wireless environments
- →Troubleshoot issues using the OSI model and document validation
- →Design and implement additional file servers as needed
- →Implement configuration changes to network hardware
- →Maintain TCP/IP configurations throughout the LAN/WAN
- →Document weekly tasks and provide daily updates in Jira
- →Create and manage network ACL using firewalls and SD-WAN technologies
- →Research patches, updates, and firmware for network components
Requirements
- ✓4+ years of relevant experience in network engineering
- ✓CCNA or equivalent certification
- ✓Hands-on experience with hardware labs and peripheral integration
- ✓Experience with enterprise-level wireless networks, Cisco switches, and VoIP
- ✓Minimum 4 years managing large and complex WAN with multiple protocols
- ✓Knowledge of network technologies including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, and VXLAN
- ✓Experience with firewall ACL and IPSEC tunnel configuration
- ✓Ability to prioritize shifting workloads and follow SOPs
- ✓POS domain knowledge preferred
