About the Role

We are looking for a Network Engineer to assume hands-on ownership of hardware labs, POS devices, and environmental reliability. This role focuses on managing network infrastructure and ensuring system performance.

Key Responsibilities

→Manage and maintain network equipment including VeloCloud edges, switches, and access points
→Resolve escalated issues from Tier-1 support and engage with network support staff
→Establish performance baselines and thresholds for network components
→Perform trend analysis and mitigate incidents using monitoring tools
→Create and maintain technical diagrams of LAN/WAN architecture
→Support and manage Cisco and Mist wireless environments
→Troubleshoot issues using the OSI model and document validation
→Design additional file servers as capacity grows
→Implement configuration changes to network hardware
→Maintain TCP/IP configurations throughout the LAN/WAN
→Document weekly tasks and provide daily updates in Jira
→Create and manage Network ACL using firewalls and SD-WAN technologies
→Maintain knowledge of current infrastructure and future trends
→Research and perform updates for patches, firmware, and related sources

Requirements

✓4+ years of relevant experience
✓CCNA or equivalent certification
✓Hands-on experience with hardware labs
✓Experience supporting enterprise-level wireless networks, Cisco switches, VoIP, and monitoring platforms
✓Hands-on experience with peripheral integration (Bluetooth, Serial, USB)
✓Experience managing large and complex WAN with multiple networking protocols
✓Knowledge of network technologies including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, and VXLAN
✓Experience with firewall ACLs and IPSEC tunnel configuration and troubleshooting
✓Ability to prioritize shifting priorities and follow SOPs
✓POS domain knowledge preferred
