About the Role As a Senior Frontend Developer, you will play a key role in building and evolving high-quality sportsbook web applications used at scale. You’ll work closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver performant, reliable, and user-focused frontend solutions. This is a hands-on senior role where you’ll contribute to technical direction, lead the development of complex user interfaces, and help raise engineering standards across the frontend team. You’ll be expected to combine strong technical execution with collaboration, mentorship, and ownership of frontend quality. Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain frontend applications using NuxtJS or React • Lead the development of complex, high-performance user interfaces and contribute to frontend architecture decisions • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend developers to translate requirements and user stories into scalable, maintainable solutions • Optimise applications for performance, scalability, and responsiveness • Ensure consistent implementation of responsive, mobile-first designs with strong cross-browser compatibility • Write clean, modular, and reusable code, maintaining high standards of quality and maintainability • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and contribute to usability improvements • Integrate frontend applications with backend services using REST APIs and GraphQL • Participate in and lead code reviews, providing constructive feedback and guidance • Mentor junior developers and support their technical growth • Develop, maintain, and improve automated tests for frontend applications • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues effectively • Stay current with emerging frontend technologies, tools, and best practices Requirements • 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development • Strong hands-on experience with NuxtJS and/or React in production environments • Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3 • Experience with modern frontend tooling and libraries (e.g. Vuex, Redux, Sass, Webpack, Babel) • Solid understanding of Node.js and real-time technologies such as WebSockets or Server-Sent Events (SSE) • Strong experience integrating frontend applications with backend services via REST APIs and GraphQL • Deep understanding of responsive design and mobile-first development • Knowledge of web performance optimisation techniques • Experience using Git or similar version control systems • Familiarity with state management and architectural patterns such as MVVM, Flux, or Redux • Hands-on experience with frontend testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or Mocha • Proven ability to deliver complex projects in fast-paced environments • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Nice to Have • Experience working within sportsbook, gaming, or other high-traffic, real-time platforms • Exposure to frontend architecture ownership or design system development • Experience influencing frontend best practices across teams • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and frontend deployment workflows • Interest in mentoring, technical leadership, and continuous improvement Benefits • Fixed Shifts: 12:00 PM - 9:30 PM IST (Summer) | 1:00 PM - 10:30 PM IST (Winter) • No Weekend Work: Real work-life balance, not just words • Day 1 Benefits: Laptop and full medical insurance provided • Support That Matters:Mentorship, community, and forums where ideas are shared • True Belonging: A long-term career where your contributions are valued At Smart Working, you’ll never be just another remote hire.
