β’ Partner with senior leaders and C-suite stakeholders to align people strategy with business goals, organizational priorities, and long-term growth
β’ Support leaders across Product and Engineering on organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, workforce planning, and team performance
β’ Coach executives, directors, and managers on performance, feedback, engagement, change leadership, and effective team management
β’ Lead complex employee relations matters with sound judgment, discretion, and appropriate escalation
β’ Contribute to cross-functional People initiatives such as performance cycles, talent reviews, engagement follow-up, career development frameworks, and manager enablement programs
β’ Drive org design, team structure evolution, and workforce planning to support scale, clarity, and execution across technical teams
β’ Use data, engagement insights, and business context to identify priority areas and independently lead projects from diagnosis through execution
β’ Support performance management and talent planning across your functions, helping leaders raise the bar on accountability, development, and decision-making
β’ Help drive continuous improvement in HR processes, including the use of AI and automation to simplify workflows and increase impact
β’ Design and facilitate manager enablement or leadership development sessions to strengthen capability across Product and Engineering
β’ Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, providing thoughtful guidance on workplace concerns, team dynamics, and career growth
β’ Partner closely with Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, and the broader People team to deliver scalable, high-quality people support
β’ Ensure compliance with local employment law and company policies, handling sensitive matters with care
β’ Champion Smartlyβs values and help build an inclusive, high-performing, forward-looking culture
We are looking for you if you haveβ¦
β’ 7+ years of HR experience, including strong experience in an HR Business Partner or similar role
β’ Experience partnering with senior leaders, including C-suite stakeholders, in a fast-paced and evolving organization
β’ Experience supporting Product, Engineering, or other technical organizations
β’ Strong employee relations experience and confidence navigating complex, sensitive situations
β’ Excellent coaching, influencing, and stakeholder management skills across all levels of the organization
β’ Experience with organizational design, change management, and workforce planning
β’ Strong business judgment and the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
β’ A data-informed mindset, with comfort using analytics and AI tools to improve decision-making and efficiency
β’ A practical, solutions-oriented approach and the ability to build trust quickly
β’ Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
β’ A Bachelorβs degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience with Workday
β’ Experience in tech, startup, or scaling environments
β’ Exposure to AI tools or automation to improve HR workflows
β’ SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar certification
