About the Role
We are seeking a Staff Software Developer to join Smile Digital Health, a company ranked #19 on Deloitte's Technology Fast 50 Ranking for 2024. This role involves leading technical projects, mentoring junior developers, and driving a culture of technical excellence in healthcare technology.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, develop and implement core application features for Smile Digital Health.
- →Lead tasking sessions for new features and provide high-level design and estimates.
- →Guide and coach team members to resolve complex technical challenges.
- →Collaborate with business areas to refine product requirements and implement system components.
- →Advise on software development best practices to ensure robust technical design.
- →Analyze and solve complex challenges, identify risks, and implement solutions.
- →Mentor junior Software Developers to foster a culture of learning and technical excellence.
- →Analyze requirements and propose technical solutions at all stages of development.
- →Act as a key technical leader for complex project challenges.
- →Develop and analyze solutions to ensure interoperability, performance, and maintainability.
- →Establish and maintain high coding standards for the team.
Requirements
- ✓10+ years of experience in software development lifecycle, preferably in healthcare technology.
- ✓5+ years in a senior or staff-level development role.
- ✓Post-secondary degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- ✓Experience with developing software applications, unit and functional testing.
- ✓Strong abilities in end-to-end feature development.
- ✓Experience building complex systems, preferably in healthcare technology.
- ✓Familiarity with healthcare data formats like HL7 and FHIR.
- ✓Ability to drive technical decisions, lead projects, and mentor other developers.
- ✓Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong collaborative skills.
