About the Role

We are seeking a Freelance Curator to curate, produce, and promote live events to build a strong Sofar community in your city. This role involves developing local strategies, executing marketing initiatives, selling sponsorships, and expanding Sofar's footprint with flexible scheduling primarily on weekends and evenings.

Key Responsibilities

→Strengthen Sofar's brand in your local community through self-directed marketing tactics
→Create and execute a vision for monthly shows, neighborhoods, and show themes
→Lead curation and booking of high-quality, diverse artists and venues
→Own staffing and quality of shows to ensure magical hospitality experiences
→Manage your city's financial performance to ensure event profitability
→Build relationships with local businesses to drive sponsorship and private event sales
→Identify and collaborate with local organizations to build community and co-promote shows
→Collaborate with other local leaders to grow your city through diverse experiences
→Support Business Partnerships and Global Communities teams with high-quality curation

Requirements

✓Deep connections to your local scene and active role in building community
✓3-5 years of experience in live event curation, production, and promotions
✓Experience selling event sponsorships or marketing activations
✓Confidence pitching ideas and track record of closing partnership deals
✓Strong pulse on your city, neighborhoods, and local leisure activities
✓Natural connector skilled at building relationships with diverse organizations
✓Understanding of promotion and strategic alliances to sell more tickets
