About the Role

We are looking for a Freelance Local Producer to join our global network of community builders and tastemakers. This entrepreneurial role involves shaping the cultural landscape in your city by creating impactful pop-up experiences that connect artists, venues, and audiences through intimate live performances.

Key Responsibilities

→Strengthen Sofar's brand in your local community through self-directed marketing and ticket sales
→Create and execute your city's strategy including monthly shows, neighborhoods, and show themes
→Lead curation and booking of diverse artists and venues to ensure high-quality experiences
→Own staffing and quality of shows to create magical, hospitality-rooted events
→Manage your city's financial performance to ensure event success and health
→Build relationships with local businesses to drive sponsorship and private event sales
→Identify and collaborate with local organizations to broaden reach and co-promote shows
→Collaborate with other local leaders to grow your city through diverse experiences
→Support Business Partnerships and Global Communities teams with curation and operations

Requirements

✓Deep connections to your local scene and active role in building community
✓3-5 years of experience in live event curation, production, and promotions
✓Experience selling event sponsorships or marketing activations in live events or experiential marketing
✓Confidence pitching ideas and track record of closing partnership deals
✓Strong understanding of your city's neighborhoods and where people spend free time
✓Natural connector skilled at building relationships with diverse organizations and businesses
✓Understanding of how to promote and build strategic alliances to sell more tickets
✓Professional approach with ownership mentality for best experiences for all stakeholders
✓Exceptional time management skills and clear communication abilities
✓Ability to work autonomously while staying connected to the broader organization
