About the Role
We are looking for a Freelance Local Producer to curate, produce, and promote concerts and live events to build a strong Sofar community in Riverside, CA. This role involves developing city strategy, executing marketing initiatives, selling sponsorships, and expanding Sofar's footprint with support from the Los Angeles team.
Key Responsibilities
- →Strengthen Sofar's brand in the local community through self-directed marketing tactics
- →Create and execute city strategy including monthly shows, neighborhoods, and show themes
- →Lead curation and booking of high-quality, diverse artists and venues
- →Own staffing and quality of shows to ensure magical hospitality experiences
- →Manage city's financial performance to ensure event success
- →Build relationships with local businesses to drive sponsorship and private event sales
- →Identify and build relationships with like-minded local organizations
- →Collaborate with other local leaders to grow the city through diverse experiences
- →Support Business Partnerships and LA teams with high-quality curation and operations
Requirements
- ✓Deep connections to the local scene and active role in community building
- ✓3-5 years of experience in live event curation, production, and promotions
- ✓Experience selling event sponsorships or marketing activations
- ✓Confidence pitching ideas and track record of closing partnership deals
- ✓Strong understanding of the city, neighborhoods, and local leisure activities
- ✓Natural connector skilled at building strategic relationships
- ✓Understanding of promotion and strategic alliances to sell more tickets
- ✓Professional approach with ownership and pride in work
- ✓Exceptional time management and clear communication skills
- ✓Ability to work autonomously while staying connected to the organization
