The Role
Weβre looking for a strategic, member-obsessed Principal Product Manager to lead the evolution of the investing experience at SoFi. SoFiβs mission is to help members get their money right, and this role is central to shaping how millions of members build wealth with confidence.
In this role, you will define and drive the long-term vision for how members discover, engage with, and grow their investments. You will operate across the full investing journey, identifying high-impact opportunities, setting multi-year strategy, and delivering differentiated product experiences that position SoFi as the best place to invest.
You will lead large, cross-functional initiatives that span multiple product areas and organizations. This includes aligning engineering, design, data, marketing, risk, legal, and executive stakeholders around a shared strategy, while driving execution against critical business outcomes such as AUM growth, engagement, and retention.
You will be responsible for shaping product strategy beyond your immediate domain, connecting the dots across teams, and influencing platform-level capabilities that unlock new growth opportunities. You will raise the bar on product quality and innovation, delivering experiences that are intuitive, scalable, and meaningfully differentiated from competitors.
What youβll do
β’ Define and drive product strategy: Own the long-term vision and strategy for the investing experience, identifying opportunities that unlock growth, improve member outcomes, and drive business impact across SoFi.
β’ Lead complex, cross-org initiatives: Drive large, multi-quarter initiatives that span multiple teams and product areas, aligning stakeholders and securing buy-in across engineering, design, business, and executive leadership.
β’ Own end-to-end product outcomes: Deliver measurable impact across key metrics such as funded accounts, net deposits, engagement, retention, and AUM growth.
β’ Elevate product quality and differentiation: Set a high bar for user experience, ensuring products are intuitive, cohesive, and competitive in the market.
β’ Drive data-informed decision making: Partner with data and research teams to define measurement frameworks, analyze performance, and continuously iterate based on insights.
β’ Influence platform and system design: Partner with engineering to shape scalable, extensible systems that support long-term product evolution and cross-product capabilities.
β’ Mentor and raise the bar: Act as a thought leader within the product organization, mentoring other PMs and elevating product thinking across teams.
β’ Fluency with modern AI tools for product development: Ability to leverage tools like Cursor and Claude to accelerate product workflows, prototyping, and execution.
What youβll need
β’ 8+ years of B2C product management experience, with a track record of owning large, complex product areas
β’ Demonstrated ability to define and execute product strategy that drives measurable business impact
β’ Strong product sense with the ability to identify high-leverage opportunities and make principled tradeoffs
β’ Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders across multiple organizations
β’ Deep understanding of experimentation, analytics, and data-driven decision making
β’ Ability to operate with high ownership and autonomy in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
β’ Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and align at all levels, including executive leadership
