About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join the Chat engineering team at SoFi. This role involves developing an intelligent, conversational AI-powered chat interface to support members' financial journeys and provide personalized financial insights.
Key Responsibilities
- →Development, testing, and deployment of software systems
- →Drive technical architecture, design decisions, and cross-functional discussions
- →Mentor other engineers and support the technical culture
- →Ensure code quality through reviews and adherence to best practices
- →Generate ideas for new initiatives and technologies
- →Translate product requirements into technical solutions
- →Communicate with project leads, product managers, and other developers
- →Adapt existing practices and frameworks to deliver tasks
- →Collaborate with peers and cross-functional teams to coordinate and deliver projects
- →Take initiative and produce timely results in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or relevant work experience
- ✓4+ years of programming experience with full-stack development
- ✓2+ years of experience with React/Typescript and Kotlin/Java
- ✓Understanding of relational databases
- ✓2+ years of experience building React-based web applications
- ✓Experience in a collaborative coding environment with code reviews and pull requests
- ✓Pragmatic approach to handling tech debt versus shipping new features
