About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Staff Data Scientist, Invest to help shape our Invest business strategy and product development decisions through high-impact, data-driven insights. This role involves working closely with cross-functional partners to build and grow SoFi Invest into the premier choice for anyone looking to manage their investments.
Key Responsibilities
- →Work with product and business managers to identify strategic opportunities and make data-driven recommendations
- →Analyze portfolio performance at the asset level and by account vintage
- →Help drive customer engagement strategies including account funding, recurring deposits, trading activity, and retention
- →Manage and analyze existing investor portfolios covering AUM growth, diversification, and long-term holding behaviors
- →Craft, analyze, and present customer behavior metrics
- →Drive the data instrumentation strategy for the Invest platform
- →Own end-to-end product analytics workflow
- →Run significance tests and discover trends in customer behavior
- →Present analyses to Invest and Finance business leaders
Requirements
- ✓M.B.A, B.S. or M.S. in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related quantitative field
- ✓8+ years of experience in analytics, business strategy, or related role in the investment or brokerage industry
- ✓Strong programming skills in SQL, Python and proficiency in Tableau
- ✓Experience in the Wealth Management or Fintech industry
- ✓Strong understanding of Invest P&L drivers
- ✓Experience with product analytics, experimentation and hypothesis testing
- ✓Proven track record of building analytical frameworks to inform business strategy
- ✓Ability to work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment
- ✓Effective communication and presentation skills
- ✓Exceptional problem-solving skills
- ✓Strong relationship building and collaborative skills
- ✓2+ years of management experience
