About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic Senior Staff Software Engineers to lead the evolution of strategically critical areas of our next-generation financial services platform. This role involves making key contributions to the technical vision and strategy, defining evolutionary roadmaps, and leading improvements to engineering efficiency and culture.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead design and implementation efforts across platform domains
- →Resolve complex problems in platform design and implementation
- →Serve as a subject matter expert to identify and coordinate resolution of systemic issues
- →Define long-term architectural direction for critical platform areas
- →Drive alignment across teams to resolve technical and organizational conflicts
- →Raise engineering maturity by driving improvements in culture and processes
- →Collaborate with partners to align technology and company strategy
- →Identify and drive improvements in systems supporting engineer productivity
- →Mentor engineers and participate in recruiting processes
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
- ✓7+ years as a professional Software Engineer
- ✓4+ years in a technical leadership role
- ✓Track record of defining and leading cross-team initiatives
- ✓Track record of leading initiatives to increase engineering productivity
- ✓Exemplary communication and documentation skills
- ✓Proficient coding in Java, Kotlin, or similar languages
- ✓Experience with public cloud compute, storage, and infrastructure
- ✓Experience with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and Spring Boot
- ✓Deep understanding of relational and document database fundamentals
- ✓Deep understanding of microservices design principles and architecture
- ✓Deep understanding of scaling highly-available, mission-critical systems
- ✓Expert proficiency working with GIT and related CI/CD systems
- ✓Experience leading and improving Agile methodologies
