About the Role
We are looking for a visionary Staff Software Engineer to join Sonar's Code Next team, working at the intersection of Large Language Models (LLMs), static analysis, and programming languages. This hands-on, high-impact role focuses on designing and scaling tools and infrastructure for AI-driven code quality and security solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- →Architect and oversee tooling and infrastructure for AI-driven code quality and security solutions
- →Lead the design and optimization of AI-focused experiments using techniques like fine-tuning, RAG, DPO, and RLHF
- →Write scalable, production-quality code in Python, Java, TypeScript, or Rust
- →Design and maintain high-throughput benchmarking pipelines for LLM performance
- →Process and refine complex datasets for training and evaluation
- →Define integration strategies between AI systems and static analysis tools
- →Collaborate with static analysis experts and AI researchers to translate research into software architectures
- →Ensure scalability and reliability of AI tooling for enterprise production
Requirements
- ✓Proven mastery of software engineering with deep proficiency in Python
- ✓Experience in other languages such as Java, C++, Rust, or JS/TS
- ✓Advanced software architecture foundation including distributed systems, complex algorithms, and enterprise CI/CD
- ✓Deep curiosity about LLMs, static analysis, and multiple programming languages
- ✓Genuine interest in AI-driven software development and proven ability to lead AI integration projects
- ✓Pragmatic approach to problem-solving balancing technical strategy with hands-on building
- ✓Self-driven mindset with technical authority and openness to learning
