About the Role
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join Sopra Steria Polska for a client that provides technological and operational support for a project providing IT services for a major French telecommunications operator. This role is part of a transition program moving operations from Sophia-Antipolis to a new nearshore team in Poland.
Key Responsibilities
- →System administration of Linux-based servers (Ubuntu, RHEL)
- →Installation, maintenance, and updates of infrastructure-level software and services
- →Ensuring server–network communication (DNS, routing, firewalls, syslog)
- →Automating processes using Ansible, Bash scripting, Python
- →Maintenance of virtualized environments (VMware)
- →Handling incident resolution and supporting performance optimization
- →Participating in transition phases: knowledge transfer, supervised practice, and gaining autonomy
Requirements
- ✓Experience with Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL)
- ✓Knowledge of networking: DNS, routing, firewall configuration, syslog servers
- ✓Experience with virtualization: VMware vSphere
- ✓Proficiency in automation tools: Ansible, Shell scripting
- ✓Experience with containers: Docker
- ✓Familiarity with CI/CD: GitLab CI/CD
- ✓Languages: Bash, Python
