About the Role
We are looking for a Group Internal Auditor to join our dynamic team in Exeter or Bristol. This high-impact role involves leading audits across the Pennon Group, gaining exposure across the entire business, and presenting insights directly to senior leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead and deliver end-to-end audits across the Pennon Group, covering operational and financial areas
- →Shape audit scopes, plan assignments, and present findings directly to executive stakeholders
- →Assess processes, risks, and controls to provide robust assurance on the Group’s control environment
- →Produce clear, concise audit reports and drive follow-up to ensure meaningful action is taken
- →Support complex and high-profile audits, ad-hoc projects, and key governance initiatives
- →Champion high internal audit standards and contribute to identifying emerging risks across the Group
Requirements
- ✓Experience in internal audit, risk management, and internal controls, with strong knowledge of related methodologies and tools
- ✓Skilled in presenting and reporting to senior management, with excellent written and verbal communication
- ✓Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and deliver multiple tasks to tight deadlines
- ✓Proactive, solutions-focused, and adept at building effective relationships, including influencing senior stakeholders
- ✓Full or Part Qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA) and internal audit qualification (e.g., CMIIA)
